The Gift is a beautiful brick walkway and art installation between two Carolina Union buildings. Created by Haliwa-Saponi artist Senora Lynch, The Gift features Native American symbols celebrating unity, life, and natural elements, such as the turtle, eagle feather, and four directions. The plaza invites visitors to reflect on these symbols’ meanings, inspired by the artist’s heritage and connection to the earth. For more details, visit The Gift at the American Indian Center.

This reservable space is ideal for receptions, information fairs, and community events. It can be booked in its entirety or split into two sections: Plaza A, near the Student Stores and Pit, and Plaza B, close to the Carolina Union Great Hall Lobby.
