The Office of Event Services is responsible for helping student organizations, UNC departments, and external clients reserve and produce over 18,000 reservations annually. Our department facilitates the planning and implementation of meetings and events held in the FPG Student Union and approximately 50% of all reservable space on campus. Staff schedules meetings and events and coordinates with other campus entities to ensure safe usage of campus spaces in line with University policy and state law. Event Services is also responsible for billing and invoicing in collaboration with the Carolina Union’s business office.

Admission and Guest Services support includes ticketing, wristbanding, credentialing, ushering, crowd management, and other entry requirement activities.
Box Office - The box office provides ticketing and admission services for events booked through the Office of Event Services. Services include a dedicated box office for ticket sales, on-site event sales as well as tickets and wristbands for organizational distribution.
Guest Services - This staff supports events and offsite meeting room reservations. They are the designated day for our clients and are assist with any venue needs. Guest Servies also provides general ushering support as well as emergency situation coordination.
Information Services - This area facilitates office key distribution and security, equipment pick up, reservation check-in and out, and solicitation table assignments. Information Services manages the Union’s lost and found and mail distribution, and is responsible for greeting guests, answering telephones, and providing general information for the campus community and guests of UNC. They also manage CUBE reservations and paint cart check-outs.
Tech Services facilitates events ranging from single-microphone lectures to large concerts for thousands of attendees. Our staff operates a range of audio and lighting equipment and can discuss which options will best suit your needs and your budget.
Operations provides customer service and building support for all Carolina Union guests and events. The staff is responsible for opening and closing the facility, and maintaining the physical appearance of the Union. The staff also monitors daily events in and around the Union and SASB and is responsible for the setup of over 10,000 meetings annually in the Union and SASB.
