Rowan Denis

Rowan Denis is a first-year scholar from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, currently studying Political Science and Peace, War & Defense at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is deeply interested in international law and non-profit work focused on advancing women’s workplace rights. Rowan has worked as an independent researcher for the non-profit organization Career Girls, where she supported initiatives aimed at helping young girls access career opportunities and resources. Outside of her academic and professional interests, Rowan uses visual art and creative writing as a way to explore and express new ideas. Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, she developed a strong love for the outdoors and enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time in nature.
