Lauryn Cooper is from Greensboro, NC, a member of the class of 2028, and currently majoring in nutrition (science and research) with a minor in chemistry in hopes of becoming a physician. In 2020, she established her non-profit bakery “Berry & Blu” which creates sweet treats with nutritionally conscious ingredients from small and local businesses and farms. She is also passionate about health education and preventative medicine, working with local medical practices on outreach and community involvement. At UNC, Lauryn is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-health honor society and is on the education committee for UNC’s culinary medicine club. She is a member of the 2028 North Carolina Fellows Program class.
