Gianna is a sophomore from Raleigh, NC, majoring in Environmental Health Sciences and Biology. She is most passionate about toxicology and marine science, studying how pollutants impact local marine ecosystems and animal communities. At UNC, she enjoys riding horses for the equestrian team, running with the track club, and serving as Sustainability Officer for Craige Community Government, where she educates residents on sustainable ways of living. She also combines her love for working with children and community engagement through her work at Jordan Center, a child enrichment center. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Gus, watching movies—especially thrillers and rom-coms—and staying active outside through hiking, mountain biking, and even snorkeling!
