The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Amy Lei

Amy Lei is a freshman at UNC Chapel Hill studying neuroscience and business on the pre-med track. With four years of experience and passion in public health, mental health, and substance use prevention, she serves in various positions including as an adult mentor with the NC Youth Health Advisors and youth leader on the AMCHP conference workgroup. Always loving a good coffee at networking events and building a community, Amy has led service and event planning through UNC Student Government, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Red Cross. She believes in saying yes first and figuring it out after — and brings that same energy to every room she’s in. Still a nerd for science, she has done research in organic chemistry and is currently working in a neuroscience lab, with her sights set on trauma medicine. Outside of her work, she loves art, basketball, traveling + photography, and maybe an addiction to caffeine.
