Lhynne Larbie

Lhynne Larbie is from Accra, Ghana and is a first year who is currently double majoring in Political Science and Economics and minoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. In 2023, she co-founded the Reach for the Pen initiative, which organised a webinar delivered by New York Times Bestselling author Namina Forna to over 40 students from the UK and Sierra Leone. The project sought to educate young people about creative writing careers and their relationship with social justice. At UNC, Lhynne currently serves as the Academic and Professional Development Co-Chair for Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and is involved with Carolina Diplomacy Fellows, the Philosophy, Politics and Economics Society, the Black Pre-Law Association and Women in Economics. She is a member of the 2028 North Carolina Fellows Program class.
