Aanya Shah is from Orlando, Florida, studying Public Policy and Business at UNC-Chapel Hill. She is passionate about the intersection of business and social good, aiming to use business strategy to inform public policy and eventually pursue a career in law. Aanya led the world’s largest student-run publication, scaling readership to 30,000+ readers, and reported on local government for her community newspaper. An advocate for civic engagement, she also created the first youth council for the League of Women Voters and worked alongside Florida legislators to advance public health policy. At UNC, Aanya applies her business knowledge to support small businesses with Consult Your Community and works on a team to organize a traditional Indian dance competition. She is also a Buckley Public Service Scholar and excited to be a member of the 2029 NC Fellows cohort. In her free time, Aanya enjoys hiking and mentoring student journalists.
