Preethika Ratnam is a sophomore from Marvin, NC majoring in Neuroscience and is interested in Health Policy & Management. In the future, she plans to pursue a career in medicine focusing on studying rural health disparities and bridging health information gaps. At UNC, she is involved in the American Mock World Health Organization, the Office of Undergraduate Research, Honors Carolina, and Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-health honors society. She also works in Dr. Manga’s lab, studying sustainable water treatment methods. Preethika enjoys exploring coffee shops, reading, and baking blueberry lemon scones in her free time.
