33rd Annual MLK Jr. Memorial Lecture Featuring Hill Harper

Hosted by the Carolina Union Activities Board (CUAB) and Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, this keynote is part of a campus-wide initiative to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his legacy, and his ideals. Dr. King’s life continues to inspire people around the globe. This year’s inspirational keynote speaker is film, television, and stage actor Hill Harper. Harper is committed to helping the youth of America achieve their dreams and live their lives positively. The author of the New York Times best seller and American Library Association Award-winner for “Best Book for Youth and Teens,” Letters to a Young Brother: Manifest Your Destiny, he has dedicated himself to empowering, encouraging, and inspiring America’s underserved communities. His Manifest Your Destiny Foundation is a mentorship program which helps young men and women follow their career paths through a motivational support system. Harper’s most recent book is Letters to an Incarcerated Brother.
