Market Day is the place to be on Thursdays! Presented by the Carolina Union, the Pit is transformed into a marketplace where the Carolina community can browse and shop, students and local businesses including art, jewelry, and vintage.

Thank you for your interest in Market Days. You will need the following information to complete the vendor request form. Incomplete forms will be deleted. Submitting this form does not guarantee participation. All vendor applications will be reviewed and responded to within 7 business days. If you have questions feel free to reach out via email to [email protected].

Market Days Layout
Items and Services Prohibited
At the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, we hold a high standard for the brands and businesses that we allow on campus and reserve the right to deny or discontinue business at our discretion. Items and services prohibited from participating in Tar Heel Market Day are included, but not limited to:
- Housing vendors (exception UNC Housing, UNC Off Campus Student Life and associated vendors)
- Credit Card vendors
- UNC Logo materials (exception UNC Trademark & Licensing)
- Eyeglasses/Sunglasses
- Books and Textbooks
- Restaurants directly competing with or selling the same product as our on-campus vendors
- Bars and Night clubs/any Happy Hour specials
- Banks
- Non-licensed food vendors
- Tobacco Products
- Legal Services
- Any services directly competing with campus vendors including, but not limited to, testing services (test, prep, and admissions), eye care, ticket sales, and select mobile services.
- Any beverages that are not Pepsi branded
- Items that violate U.S. Copyright or Patent laws (i.e., Clothing, Purses, Copied CD’s, DVD’s, etc.)
- Items that require a special state license (i.e., pets, haircuts, etc.)
- Items that may harm or damage University or Carolina Union property (I.e., spray paint)
- Drug or smoking paraphernalia, illicit pornographic or illegal items
- CBD oils
