Carolina Blueprint—a weeklong fundraising event in which students sign up to build, live and fundraise out of wooden shacks—wrapped up Friday afternoon.

Carolina Blueprint is part of the larger Habitat for Humanity chapter at UNC, an organization that works on creating and promoting affordable housing in Chapel Hill and the surrounding areas. The organization’s co-director, Melissa White, created Carolina Blueprint last year to present more students with the opportunity to get involved.


Jordan Bermudez, a junior from Durham majoring in exercise and sports science, will serve as the 2018-2019 Chair of the Carolina Union Board of Directors.

The Office of Student Life and Leadership sent five UNC students to the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Student Leadership Symposium to represent the University this past month.


UNC SPARK partnered with the Office of Student Life and Leadership to host 15 individuals for an etiquette luncheon on Tues. Jan 30. Women of color had the opportunity to learn customary practices of a formal social gathering from the speaker, Sheena Jacobs.


The mission of the AIDS Memorial Quilt Archive Project is to preserve the powerful images and stories contained within The Quilt while expanding AIDS awareness and HIV prevention education efforts.


UNC Black Student Movement celebrated their 50 year anniversary on November 7, 2017. The installation at the art gallery commemorates 50 years of activity and growth, featuring documents, photographs, and art. Here is to another 50 years of continued ground breaking achievement!
