Shelby Swanson is a Media and Journalism major from Durham, NC. She is the oldest of four siblings, and the proud daughter of two public school teachers. During the school year, Shelby works at a local bagel shop, and is very involved on campus: Shelby is an assistant sports editor at the Daily Tar Heel, a sibling in UNC’s APO chapter, and is a member of UNC Semillas. Shelby enjoys soaking up the sun and breathing deep… and she loves Pharrell, but acknowledges that “Happy” is a terribly annoying song. In her spare time, she can be found reading or playing basketball.
